1. Who we are
MeridianAI GmbH ("Meridian", "we", "us") is a generative engine optimisation studio based in Switzerland. This policy explains how we handle personal data collected through our website and services.
2. Data we collect
We collect data you provide directly (e.g. name, email, company URL submitted via our audit tool or booking form) and technical data collected automatically (e.g. IP address, browser type, pages visited, referrer). We do not sell personal data to third parties.
3. How we use your data
We use your data to deliver our services, respond to enquiries, send service-related communications (with your consent where required), improve our platform, and comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal basis (GDPR / nDSG)
Processing is based on contract performance, legitimate interest, or your explicit consent. Swiss users are protected under the revised Federal Act on Data Protection (nDSG, in force Sept 2023).
5. Data retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or as required by law. Audit results are deleted within 12 months unless you are an active client.
6. Your rights

7. Google user data
When you connect Google Analytics to Meridian, we access your data through Google's APIs with read-only permission (analytics.readonly) solely to display AI-referral traffic and engagement metrics inside your Meridian dashboard. Meridian's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or train AI models on it. You can revoke access at any time from your Meridian settings or your Google Account. 8. Sharing of Google user data
We do not share, transfer, or disclose Google user data to any third parties except in the following limited cases: (a) with infrastructure sub-processors that are strictly necessary to operate the Meridian service — currently Vercel Inc. (web hosting and serverless runtime, USA/EU) under a data-processing agreement, which process Google user data only on our documented instructions and may not use it for any other purpose; (b) with users within your own organisation that you have authorised to access your Meridian workspace; and (c) when required by Swiss law or a legally binding request from a competent authority. We do not share, sell, or disclose Google user data to advertisers, marketing networks, data brokers, or any other unrelated third parties, and we do not use Google user data to train generalised AI or machine-learning models.
